Wakiso District Deputy RDC Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha Cautions Kabale Residents against Religious based Politics.
Wakiso District Deputy RDC, Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha, has cautioned against using religion to divide the community. Speaking yesterday at the wedding reception of Gloria and Bosco at St. Andrews Church of Uganda in Kabale Municipality, Kamugisha emphasized religion’s role in uniting families, people, and the nation.
Kamugisha expressed concern over growing religious divisions hindering local development. He urged Kabale Municipality residents to transcend identity politics, citing lost government programs due to the opposition MP.
Kamugisha highlighted his efforts in championing Kabale’s Emyooga Program, warning of a potential five-year drought in government-backed initiatives if the current opposition MP remains.
Kabale District parliamentary hopeful Immaculate Kagwa echoed Kamugisha’s sentiments, advocating against politics of religion, identity, and tribalism. Kagwa stressed that poverty knows no religious, tribal, or national boundaries.
This call to action resonates with President Museveni’s emphasis on interest-based politics over identity-based divisions.
