Police in Rukiga District are Investigating Circumstances Surrounding the Death of a 24 Years Old Man.
The police in Rukiga are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 24 years old Dismus Turyasingura a resident of Mwendo cell Nyanja parish Maziba sub county Kabale district.
The incident occured on the 05/09/2024 during night hours at Rwanyamutare cell Bukinda sub county Rukiga district, allegedly by one only known as Paddy son of Butomi.
It’s alleged that on the 05/09/2024 at around 4 pm, the deceased went to the party which was at the home of one Robert at Kamafuni cell, and there after at night, the deceased and two others yet to be identified, went to the home of Paddy allegedly to steal from therein, where the deceased was caught and beaten to death while his two associates took off. After the incident at Kamafuni, they carried him to Rwanyamutate cell where he was discovered dead.
The case was reported to police on the 18/09/2024 by Ruth Amutuhaire a business woman, the scene was visited and documented and registered Under Rukiga 341/2024, Statements recorded from witnesses and the decomposed body was conveyed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for Postmortem and later was handed over to the relatives for burial.
According to the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Assistant Supretendant of Police Elly Maate said that, Efforts to have those involved, arrested and prosecuted, are being made. And calls upon anyone with information that can lead police to the suspects, should volunteer it so that are brought to book, As Inquiries are underway.
