Police in Kabale District have Arrested a 45Years Old Man over Defilement of a 13YearsJuvenile.
The territorial Police in Kabale have arrested a 45 years old Samantha Muyeghe allegedly for having carnal knowledge of a 13 years old girl a pupil at Kamirongo child development center.
The suspect is a tailoring instructor at the same child development center and resident of Nyakahita village Kigata parish Kyanamira sub county Kabale district.
It’s alleged that on the 07/08/2024 in the evening hours, the suspect found the victim on her way home waiting for her younger sister and told her to accompany him up to the river which she refused. Then he grabbed her basket she was having and ran, and she also followed him pleading to him so that he can return the basket to her until when he saw the victim’s sister coming that he gave back the basket and went away.
Further more on the 08/08/2024 at around 10 : 30 am, during break time, again the suspect saw the victim in school compound and lured her to the church gallery that he was going to repair her torn uniform, gave her Uganda Shillings 2000=, pulled her up and removed her nicker, forced her into sexual intercourse within Kamironko church gallery.
After the act, he pretended to be communicating on his mobile phone leaving the victim to put on her nicker, after which she moved out of the church running. She was asked where she had gone and she revealed everything to her parents.
According to Kigezi regional Police Spokesperson Assistant Supretendant of Police Elly Maate said that, The father of the victim reported the case at Maziba police station under CRB :605/2024 and the suspect was accordingly arrested and now detained at Kabale Central Police Station. As Inquiries are still at hand.
