Parents urged to balance their attention between their male and female children

Parents have been cautioned against neglecting the boy child while concentrating on the girl child forgetting that when they grow old they will need each other.

This message was delivered by the Vice Rector of St. Charles Lwanga Seminary Nyakibaale Rev. Fr. Mathias Kwehangana today while preaching in the Mass to commemorate the Uganda Martyrs at Christ the King Catholic Parish Kabale in Kabale Municipality. He said that neglecting the boy child in Uganda among parents is becoming rampant while much focus is being put on the girl child even though these properly up brought girls will get married to the abandoned boys that has led to continuous break up of Christian families.

Fr. Kwehangana further remarked that Parents should endeavour to sacrifice everything it takes to ensure the proper up bringing process of their children because a strong family is the foundation of a strong future Catholic Church as a way of emulating the Uganda Martyrs who sacrificed their blood which later became the seed of Christianity and faith of future Ugandans.
