Kabale Diocese Admits and Installs 19 Major Seminarians.

A total of 19 Major Seminarians of Kabale Catholic Diocese were Yesterday admitted as Candidates of Major Orders and installed as Ministers of Lector and Acolyte respectively at Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral Parish in Kabale Municipality.

The Admission and Installation function was presided over by the Ordinary Bishop of Kabale Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev. Callisto Rubaramira. Nine were admitted as Candidates of Holy Orders and they included Reverends, Adon Aturinde, Cyril Arthur Ayebazibwe, Cyrus Aharizira Duesdedit Nuwagaba, Ivan Ndamira, Joseph Twizerimana, Justus Turyatunga, Peregirino Binomugisha and Sostine Mugisha.

Those installed as Ministers of Lector Acolyte included Reverends, Arnold Kateregga, Dennis Uwimana, Deus Atuhaire, Eudecious Ainomugisha, Isaaya Gumisiriza, Innocent Nahwera, Julius Turinawe, Martin Manzi, Martin Niwagaba and Noah Mashemererwa.

Bishop Rubaramira reminded the admitted and installed Reverends that as Major Seminarians, their Cardinal role and duty in the Catholic Church is Evangelization and Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherever they are Commissioned in their one full year of Pastoral work. He further told them that fulfilling this work requires them to love God with all their heart, body and mind.

While preaching in the Sacrifice of Mass the Bishop’s Secretary of Kabale Catholic Diocese Rev. Fr. Placid Mugumya asked the Major Seminarians to love, cherish and feel proud of their vocation as they continue to receive Spiritual training as a way of preparing them for the Sacrament of Ordination.

The admitted and installed Major Seminarians comes from 14 Catholic Parishes out of the 40 Parishes that make up Kabale Catholic Diocese.
