Kabale Catholic Diocese Receives Three (3) New Priests and Four (4) Deacons.
The Ordinary Bishop of Kabàle Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira has ordained three Priests and four Deacons as Ministers of the Catholic Church today at Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral Parish in Kabale Municipality.
The three newly ordained Priests all come from Mutolere Deanary that is Rev. Fr. Bruno Niyonzima from Kinanira Parish, Rev. Fr. Deusdedit Uwiringiyimana from Sooko Parish and Rev. Fr. Walter Harem’Imana from Mutolere Parish. And the newly ordained Deacons are Rev. Deacon Frank Atuzarirwe from Kitanga Parish, Rev. Deacon Mark Aheisibwe from Nyarushanje Parish, Rev.Deacon Onesmus Ahabwe from Muchahi Parish and Rev. Deacon Stephen Niwandinda from Ndama Parish.
Bishop Rubaramira urged the newly ordained Priests and Deacons to be alert so that they are not compromised by the World but to be the ones compromising it just like God through Joshua told his people that ” I will be with you as I was with Moses and I will never desert you.” He further emphasized that Jesus has called them to learn to be his disciples and learn to be his companions, follow him as he teaches them to also go and teach his believers in the whole world.
Speaking at the same function of Ordination, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner of Nakawa Division in Kampala Capital City Sheikh Qassim Kamugisha has asked the newly ordained Priests and Deacons to preach both the Gospel of God and development. He explained that they need to remind people within Kabale Diocese to acquire land titles as early as possible as Kabale Municipality looks forward to attaining the City Status, which comes with new policies by clarifying that having land tiltles when we are still in the Free hold system will enable them to secure their land even after the acquisition of City Status .
The Ordination function was also attended by so many dignitaries including the State Minister for Finance Planning and Economic Development in charge of General Duties who doubles as Rubanda East County Member of Parliament Hon. Henry Musasizi Ariganyira, State Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs who doubles as Kisoro district Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Sarah Nyirabashitsi Mateke and many other Members of Parliament from Kigezi region that makes up Kabale Catholic Diocese.
