Bishop Rubaramira Urges Prayers for Priests at Fr. Ndyomugabe’s 37th Priestly Anniversary
The Bishop of Kabale Diocese Rt.Rev. Callist Rubaramira has called upon Christians to always pray for Priests as a way of supporting them to overcome temptations and fulfill their priestly Ministries and vocations in the Roman Catholic Church.
Bishop Rubaramira made these remarks today at Kyanamira Primary School playground in Kabale district during the thanks giving Mass of the 37th Priestly Anniversary of the Chaplain of Nyakibaale Hospital and the Patron of Peace and Justice Movement in Kabale Diocese Rev. Fr. Balthazar Ndyomugabe. He said that regardless of the number of years one has served as a Priest, they still need God’s gift of the Holy spirit to guide them in their day to day activities to keep in the light of God in the fulfillment of their vocation.
While preaching at the 37th Priestly Anniversary Mass of Fr. Ndyomugabe, The Vicar General of Kabale Diocese Msgr. John Vianney Sunday praised him for having a spirit of generosity, caring for others and sharing with them what he has ” he explained that every impossibility put in front of God with faith and trust in him becomes a possibility no matter the size of riches and wealth one has but only the good heart of giving out for the benefit of others is the greatest of all.”
The Deputy Director of Internal Security Organization(ISO) Colonel Emmanuel Katabaazi while addressing the congregation as the Chief Guest joined his voice on top of other speakers and politicians and thanked Fr. Ndyomugabe for his tirelss efforts in spreading the Gospel and Christ among his followers without segregation among them in all Parishes and religious institutions he has commissioned to work in.
Fr. Balthazar Ndyomugabe also thanked the Bishop of Kabale Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira for taking good care of Priests’ physical and spiritual lives which has continuously enabelled them to serve God deligently within the Diocese plus The Emeritus Bishops of the Diocese including The late Banarbas Hale’mimana who ordained him as a priest in 1987 and Callist’s Predecessor Bishop Robert Marie Gay.
Fr.Ndyomugabe’s 37th Priestly Anniversary thanksgiving Mass was focused on raising funds to complet the House of Priests at Kyanamira Catholic Center which is looking forward to inaugrating as a Catholic Parish from Rushoroza Cathedral Parish. A total of Uganda Shillings 45180000 Million was collected both in cash and pledges in addition to other building materials such as cement,sand jerrycans of paint.
