The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has implored Christians to come together and work collectively to develop their families and improve their communities.

Bishop Akanjuna made these remarks today during a confirmation ceremony at Bukora Church of Uganda Parish in Kitumba Sub-County, Kabale District where 51 Christians were confirmed into Anglican Church faith, Bishop Akanjuna emphasized the importance of unity and shared responsibility within the family unit.

Using the teachings derived from John 10:10, he warned that the devil seeks to destroy families and disrupt their harmony and growth thus encouraging Christians to resist these negative influences by working hard and supporting one another in their daily lives.

The cleric expressed concern that in many households, a single person often bears the burden of supporting the entire family, which can lead to financial strain and slow down overall progress. He stressed that when family members work together and share responsibilities, they create a more sustainable and productive environment that benefits everyone.

Bishop Akanjuna urged Christians to recognize the importance of unity, both within their homes and in their communities, as a pathway to achieving meaningful development and lasting positive change.

Bishop Akanjuna further urged the newly confirmed members to guard themselves against earthly temptations, emphasizing the importance of spiritual growth and commitment to their faith. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in their devotion to God and to seek guidance from the Holy Spirit in their daily lives.
