An Eight (8) Years Old Child Dies Instantly by electrification in Kasese District.
Police in Katwe Kabatoro Division in Kasese District is investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a minor Bwambale Micheal Eight (8) years old, a pupil at Kanya Primary School, P.3 Class.
The tragic incident happened after the deceased touched a live wire that had been abandoned on ground by Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL).
This incident occured at Kinyamaseke North cell, North Ward in Kinyamaseke Town Council in Kasese District.
Police headed by D/Asp Higenyi Samson in charge CID Katwe Kabatoro and team responded to the scene , body of the minor was transported to Bwera Hospital for Postmortem.More so,
Police in Bwera Division in Kasese District is holding a one Victor Ahirwe 23 years old on a charge of Murder by Stabbing.
It’s alleged that a Ahirwe Victor, a security guard was hired to guard a Banana Plantation in Nyakirango II Ward, Nyakiyumbu Sub-county in Kasese District, at approximately 04 : 30 pm while on duty a one Kisughu Muhindo Wilson a male aged 44 years old, unlawfully entered the said banana Plantation with intent to steal Matooke and was armed with a sharp Panga. The deceased resisted arrest and in a bid to evade arrest, he was stabbed in the chest by Ahirwe Victor, the Guard.
According to the East Rwenzori Regional Police Spokesperson Supretendant of Police Nelson Tumushime said that, Police Detectives led by D/Asp Enock Turyabasa and his team visited the scene, processed it.
Body conveyed to Bwera Hospital for Postmortem Report, Relevant statements have been recorded, Victor Ahirwe 23 years, is currently detained to help in Investigations.
More so, Territorial Police of Katwe Kabatoro in Kasese District is currently investigating circumstances surrounding the death of Felex Kule Gaddafi a male aged 28 years old , Resident of Tophil Cell, Tophil Ward Katwe Kabatoro Town Council.
it’s alleged that the deceased on 30th October 2024, at approximately 7 am went for illegal fishing at L.Edward and is believed to have entered into a breeding zone for Crocodiles, he was grabbed and was dragged into the waters , Marine Police conducted a search and retrieved the body of the Deceased. Body handed over to the Relatives for a decent Burial.
