Account for your Gifts, Talents and Skills that God gave you, Fr. Ambrose tells Christians.
Christians have been challenged to account for their talents, gifts, and skills to God as a way of preparing for the afterlife.
This was emphasized on Thursday 17th by Rev. Fr. Ambrose Ndinomukyiza, parish priest of Karambi under Kabale Diocese, during the funeral mass of Nyabuhara Edvinah.
Nyabuhara Edvinah, mother of Godfrey Tukamuhabwa, male councilor representing Ruhija Town Council, Rubanda District, was born in 1964 and passed away on October 15, 2024, at the age of 60, due to complications from hepatitis B. She left behind eight children (four boys and four girls) and 25 grandchildren.
The funeral mass was held at her ancestral home in Mburamizi Cell, Buhumuriro Ward, Ruhija Town Council, Rubanda District.
Rev. Fr. Ambrose Ndinomukyiza expressed concern over Christians failing to utilize their talents and knowledge for the betterment of the world. “Have we properly utilized the little God has gifted us while still on earth?” he asked. He urged believers to use their limited time wisely and make the most of their gifts.
Rev. Fr. Ambrose also encouraged Christians to prepare for their death, asking, “What shall people see physically that one has left before the funeral mass?” He noted that some mourners cry tears of sadness, while others shed tears of joy, reflecting the impact of the deceased’s life.
The Ruhija Town Council Mayor and Female LC5 Councilor representing Ruhija Sub County and Ruhija Town Council, Neverine Tusasibwe, praised Rubanda District Local Government, led by Rubanda District LC5 Chairman Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba and State Minister for Finance General Duties, Hon. Henry Musasizi, for their remarkable achievements in health, education, and infrastructure development.
Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson, Mr. Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba, challenged the locals to enroll their children in Ruhija Seed School for the betterment of their community.
