A Total of Uganda Shillings 274,323,400/- has been Collected today at the BAAF Function for Kabale Catholic Diocese in Rukungiri District.
A total of Uganda Shillings 274,323,400/- has been collected in the Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund, BAAF for Rukungiri District 2024 today at Nyakibaale Catholic Parish grounds in Rukungiri District.
This Amount of money was contributed in both Cash of Uganda Shillings 274,323,400/- and Pledges Uganda Shillings 7’500,000/- from all the Catholic Parishes found within the Geographical location of Rukungiri District which include Nyakibaale, Nyakishenyi, Nyarushanje, Ndama, Rwamagaya, Rwengiri, Katojo-Buyanja and Rutooma in a Continuous Diocese’s Efforts to complete a Commercial Building in Kabale Town Located along Plot 10 on Kabale-Mbarara Road.
Addressing the congregation at the Function as the Guest of Honour, The Manager Administration at National Water and Sewarage Corporation and the Aspiring Rubabo County Member of Parliament Mr. Earnest NgabiranoKataara asked them to have Unity by avoiding Comparing, Complaining, Competing and Jealous and advocate for development. Internal Fights and misunderstandings do not lead to any development but rather Underdevelopment. He also identified that unity among leaders whether Political or Religious is Vital because it’s a continuity of development, When leaders start fighting,they ignore service delivery for the People.
Mr. Kataara further thanked the Bishop of Kabale Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira for being innovative with BAAF which has stopped the trend of Africans to go seeking for aid from Western Countries and Europe and above all for giving him an honour to grace this function as the Guest of Honour.
Speaking to the function’s Audience too, The Minister for Security who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Rujumbura Constituency in the 11th Parliament of the Republic of Uganda Hon. Minister Jim Muhwezi Katugugu re-echoed his voice to the creative and innovative mind of Bishop Rubaramira through BAAF saying that it has continuously delivered services to the People plus his good leadership in the Catholic Diocese of Kabale and the good relationship with other religions in addition to Developmental works which are the main objectives and goals of the Government of Uganda.
Blessing the Congregation too, also Bishop Callist Rubaramira thanked all the People of God who gave all they contributed for whatever they raised for this Year’s BAAF Project and reminded them we are called to fulfill God’s Will through giving out part of what God has given us for the growth of his Kingdom. And that they will provide Proper Paper Auditing and Accountability for whatever will be raised by the Faithful of God.
