A Total of Uganda Shillings 166,415,200 both Cash and Pledges has been Collected in Mutolere Deanery Today in a Continuous Effort to Support BAAF Program of Kabale Catholic Diocese.

A total of Uganda Shillings 166,415,200/-both in cash and pledges has been collected in Mutolere Deanery for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund, BAAF for Kisoro District Under Kabale Catholic Diocese.

The BAAF Function which started with the Sacrifice of Mass led by the Ordinary Bishop of Kabale Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira today at St. Peter’s Gisoro Catholic Parish collected money 155,415,200 Cash and 11,000,000 Pledges meant to boost the Diocese’s Financial Sustainability as a way of facilitating the mission of Evangelization within the Diocese.

Speaking at function as the Guest of Honour, The Assistant Commissioner General of Prisons Hillary Bisanga thanked Bishop Rubaramira for putting in place the Program of BAAF, Saying that he has become examplary to his fellow Bishop’s and that BAAF is becoming helpful to the Diocese’s Sustainability. He also thanked him for teaching Believers to participate in Developmental activities such as saving and farming.

Assistant Commissioner Bisanga also credited Bishop Rubaramira for creating more Parishes in Mutolere Deanery from five (5) by the time he assumed office to now Eight (8) plus Ordaining more Catholic Priests. He also went reminded the Congregation that as the Deanery looks forward to celebrating centenary celebrations, 100 Years of existence and and serving the people of God, they should embark on planning to build a new big and magnificent Church as its Monument.

Addressing the congregation too Bishop Rubaramira thanked the believers for having a spirit of generosity for the good of the Diocese and also asked the Parish Priests in the Deanery to ensure that Financial Sustainability programs at the Parish Level and Family level among the Christians because everyone has the ability of doing something for fostering Development.

The money that will be collected in all the six (6) Districts making up Kabale Catholic Diocese that is Kabale, Rubanda, Rukiga, Kanungu, Rukungiri and Kisoro are intended to complete a commercial Building in Kabale Town, Located on plot 10, Kabale-Mbarara Road.
