Parents urged to invest more in their children’s education
Parents have been called upon to invest more in their children’s Education because it’s a foundation of their bright future and legacy of their families.
This call was made by the Parish Priest of Christ the King Catholic Parish, Kabale Rev. Fr. Fred Birungi today in Labale Municipality during celebration of the 15th Sunday in the ordinary time of the Catholic Church. He explained that no matter how rich parents may be if they don’t take their children to school, their material wealth will perish as soon as they die. Quarrels will never end in their families, going to courts of law everyday because of wrangles over those properties instead of using them for their own benefit as a family.
Fr. Birungi further called upon parents to upgrade in their studies for example those with diploma qualifications should go for bachelor’s and masters, and more academic documents so as to prepare themselves for any opportunities that may come to their way in future because this will enable them to raise their children well since they will be able to provide them with all the basic needs they need in their growth stage of life.
In the same sacrifice of Mass Fr. Birungi baptized 17 children into the Catholic faith and 300 children received the Sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time as a way for preparing them for future Church responsibilities and changing them to apprehend to the doctrines of the Catholic Church.
The parents of the newly baptized children were also cautioned against ensuring that their children don’t change names on their church documents and use others while registering for other documents such as a academic documents and national identity cards because this will affect them greatly in future when they are looking for jobs when they no longer have time to correct such eras.
