Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club Suffers their first home defeat at their new Home ground, Al Maddinnah Stadium at the expense of Masindi based side Booma Football Club by 1: 0 .
Their defeat is the second of the season but the first at their home ground following a 1 : 0 earlier by Gaddafi Football Club in Kampala, Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club suffered the second Yesterday afternoon against Booma Football Club by a goal to nil. The goal which was scored by John Sempijja came in the early minutes of the First half of the game following a blunder from defenders of Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club brushing back the ball fro from the goal kick of Booma FC’s goal keeper only for the ball to find Sempijja in an open space for him to score.
Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club which now has Four (4) points from four games now sit in the 10th position on the 2024-25 Betpawa FUFA Big League Season only standing up front of Arua Hills FC and Ntugasaze FC by goal difference. They will now visit Arua Hills FC and Blacks power FC at Peace War Memorial Stadium in Gulu and Akii bua Stadium in Lira on 7th and 10th this week respectively before returning home.
According to the Assistant Coach of Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club Aggrey Madoi said that, they had a lot of chances but they were not clinical enough in front of their opponents’ goal posts and that they have work on it in order to be able to capitalize on their away matches for at least a win.
He also acknowledged the poor performance on a home ground ” and attributed it to the attitude of the players and that we must fight for its betterment and we hope to have a good match in the two coming away games. ” He stated that as a club they are going to fight to see that they get a win and positive results while on an away ground.
The game which was played at Al Maddinnah Stadium in Kigongi Cell Central Division Kabale Municipality leaves Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club with immense pressure with only two positions above the relegation zone with no goal difference and a slightly fair performance compared to their dream of getting promoted to the Startimes Uganda Super League come 2025-26 Season.
