The Ordinary Bishop of Kabale Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira has urged Catholics to be Servants to others as the Diocese joins the rest of the Catholic Church in the whole World to mark and celebrate Mission Sunday.Bishop Rubaramira made the urge today at Rushoroza Cathedral Parish in Rushoroza Cell Southern Division Kabale Municipality during the Confirmation Mass of 756 Young Boys and Girls into the Catholic Faith. He told them that in the Kingdom of God, the greatest title and gift is being a servant for the neighbours just like Jesus Christ came to serve but not to be served. During the Chrism Mass on Holy Thursday Jesus Christ washed the feet of his Disciples as a significance of uniformity between him and them. The Bishop further called them to pray for the gift of the Holy Spirit to strengthen them and give them the zeal to uplift the Faith and being servants to others especially that population in the world that is still in need and poor of the Word of God and above all to donate for the Pope’s treasury for the fulfillment of his objective of continuous Evangelization among them so that they can also become rich in the Catholic Faith.Speaking to the congregation, The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament who doubles as the Chief Whip for Parliamentarians of National Resistance Movement, NRM Party of Kigezi Region Hon. Catherine Atwakyire Ndamira has cautioned Parents against poor parenting of giving their children early responsibilities of involving themselves in street vendoring and hawking at an early age and they be the ones feeding the homes. She also re-echoed her voice for Christians to work hard towards development for their homes and specifically rearing of domestic animals for sale and in turn give them manure for Agriculture Practice.Addressing the Believers too, The Ndorwa East County Member of Parliament Hon. Wilfred Nuwagaba expressed his concern over the neglect of the boychild and asked them to work hard together with their Parents so that they can get money to sustain and provide them with basic needs such as clothing’s. He also urged the confirmants to desist from jumping from one Religion to another and be strong pillars of the Catholic Faith built on the foundation of the Apostles of Jesus Christ. The Confirmation Mass ended with the Bishop’s Appeal to Catholics to always have family meetings as a tool for family development. He also asked the Confirmants to go and register for National IDs because they are very important for various National activities such as Banking and Voting for Political Leaders.
