Bishop Callist Rubaramira Cautions Catholics against Disrespecting the Gift of the Holy Spirit in their Day to Day Lives.
The Ordinary Bishop of Kabale Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira has cautioned Catholics against taking the the Gift of the Holy spirit with his fruits for granted in their day to day activities and ways of living.
Bishop Rubaramira made this call today at Christ the king Catholic Parish in Kigongi ward Central Division Kabale Municipality during the Confirmation Mass of 530 Young boys and girls into the Catholic Faith at Christ the King Catholic Parish, Kabale. He said that they should use the gifts of the Holy spirit in their various duties and responsibilities to benefit themselves and their neighbours and hence change the World for the good of Christ’s Disciples through keeping their candles of Baptism lightning for themselves and their neighbours.
The Bishop further emphasized that people should be willing and accept Jesus Christ through attending Mass, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Receiving Sacraments because its the only way he can enable them abolish the lines of division in the Catholic Church of God and in Societies where they live over Politics and other factors that are not necessary before God and live fully a lifestyle that resembles the one of Jesus Christ.
Addressing the congregation, The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament who doubles as the Chief Whip for National Resistance Movement Members of Parliament of Kigezi Region Hon. Catherine Atwakyire Ndamira asked People of God to try by all means and register for National Identity Cards, IDs. She emphasized that they should take it serious because people without them will not access Government funds meant for development groups such as Parish Development Model SACCOS.
Hon. Ndamira further alerted that National Identification Registration Authority, NIRA has also written to Religious Institutions specifically Churches and Mosques requesting them to stop Wedding people without National IDs on top of limiting Passengers moving from one place to another without them.
The colourful Mass which was also blessed by the Thanksgiving function of the Holy Family Movement ended with the Bishop’s Appeal to Parish Leaders to ensure and supervise activities of development among Catholics at a family level through monitoring operations of Small Christian Communities, an initiative by Kabale Diocese.
