Kabale District UNEB Head Scouting Officer Calls for Observation of rules and Regulations in the Ongoing National Examinations.
The Uganda National Examinations Board, UNEB Head of Scouting for Kabale District Nasser Kibuli has warned Heads of Schools to Observe all the rules and guidelines put in place by UNEB to regulate National Examinations.
Kibuli made the call this morning at the Kigezi Police Regional Headquarters in Kigongi Cell Central Division Kabale Municipality, during dispatchment of the First Exams of the Lower Education New Curriculum Exams set to start today with Chemistry Practical in the morning and Music Oral in the Afternoon. He emphasized the need to observe those rules as put in place by UNEB saying that this will ensure sanity and efficiency during the period of Three (3) weeks in which the Uganda Certificate of Education, UCE Exams will be done. He also rechoed that Head teachers and School stakeholders should desist from any acts of Examination Malpractice such as cheating of exams throughout the entire Exams season.
Speaking to our reporter, The Headteacher of St. Mary’s College Rushoroza Christopher Monday said that at his school a total of 199 Students have been taught for the past four years and briefed fully in the previous week and they are now ready and in good shape to sit for the new Curriculum exams and that he expects a better performance compared to the results of last year.
According to the headteacher of St. Agatha Girls Kakore Gelesene Katongole told our reporter this morning a total of 132 students have alos been equipped with a vast network of knowledge to enable them succeed in these Examinations and that the weather is also good enough to favour both boarding and day schooling students unlike in the Past Exams seasons that were characterized by heavy rainfall.
Also briefing Journalists at the Kigezi Police Regional Headquarters, The Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Assistant Supretendant of Police Elly Maate confirmed to our reporter that dispatchment of the first exams of the 2024 New Curriculum National Exams has been successful and that they hope it continues like that. He also stated that as Security stakeholders in the region, they are on stand by to deal with all culprits of Examination malpractice in continuous mission of fulfilling their duty of Protecting the citizens of Uganda and their property.
