Joseph Seremba’s Brace Grants Kigezi Home Boyz FC a 2 : 0 Victory over Ntungasaze FC.

Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club start their 2024-25 Betpawa FUFA Big League Season with a massive 2 : 0 win at the expense of the newly promoted Mityana based side Ntungasaze Football Club.

Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club also known as The Ghorillas started their season at their new stadium for their home games Al Maddinah Stadium in Kirigime Ward Central Division Kabale Municipality.

Their win came as a result of Joseph Seremba’s two goals in the 27th and 92nd minutes of the game respectively to give them a win and a clean sheet at the start of the season.

Seremba who was the club’s top scorer last season surprised the fans with his performance after sealing The Ghorillas’ win with a spectacular strike in the 92nd minute of the game that came from defending a corner of Ntungasaze FC who were looking for an equalizing goal so that they could secure a point away from home. Unfortunately the corner ball was cleared by Home Boyz FC defender Kemis Rwomothio and landed on the foot of Joseph Seremba who caught their Goal keeper Tony Atugonza, out of the goal posts and fired a thunderbolt from the half of Kigezi Home Boyz FC and scored in an empty net.

According to Captain of Kigezi Home Boyz FC James Junior Tukei attributed this good performance to an improvement in the team’s training sessions characterized by hardwork and increased commitment of players. He said that as team players they focused on improving the club’s results both home and away as they focus on working hard for a promotion to the Startimes Uganda Super League for the 2025-26 Season.

Speaking to our reporter in a post match press conference, The Man of the Match Joseph Seremba expressed his joy and happiness over their win as a club and scoring a brace at the start of the season, saying that they are very happy and that the win will act as a foundation for more wins in the future coming games ahead of the many ambitions strongly held by the Club’s stakeholders, fans and supporters.

Kigezi Home Boyz FC who finished in the 9th position Last Season will be looking forward to attaining more good results following recruitment of news experienced players such as Dickson Odeka and the return of their play maker Charles Moses Waibi.
