We are thrilled to announce the return of the composed and calm defender, Dickson Odeke, to Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club on a two-year contract. At just 21 years old, Odeke has already established himself as a solid defensive presence, and we are excited to welcome him back as we prepare for the upcoming 2024/2025 FUFA Big League season.

Odeke previously featured for Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club in the 2022/2023 Western Regional League season, where he was instrumental in guiding the team to the FUFA Big League. As a key player in the squad, he demonstrated his impressive defensive skills, contributing to a remarkable record where the team conceded just one goal throughout the season – away to Rukungiri United.

In addition to his time with Kigezi HomeBoyz FC, Odeke has also gained valuable experience playing for other clubs, including Banda Stars FC, First Class FC, Soana FC, and Farmers FC. His diverse experience has shaped him into a reliable and versatile defender, further enhancing his reputation as a skilled player on and off the ball.

Known for his ball-playing abilities, ground clearances, and penalty expertise, Odeke is expected to form a formidable partnership once again with Akiramu Nahabwe at the center of our defense. Their partnership in the 2022/2023 season was nothing short of outstanding and was feared by many rivals. Odeke’s return brings back this defensive stability that our fans have come to love and admire.

While Odeke is a fantastic addition, he will face healthy competition from other central defenders such as Aaggrey Atwongiire as they all vie for a spot in the starting lineup. His experience in the Masaza games, where he consistently delivered impressive performances, is a testament to his quality and resilience.

Furthermore, our club has been undergoing a remarkable transformation in anticipation of the new season. We released Coach Clifford Lukanga, players Kada Bitakazibwa and Johnson Turinawe, and Public Relations Officer Micheal Twinamatsiko, paving the way for a new wave of talent and leadership. The addition of Assistant Coach Aggrey Madoi and the return of player Akiramu Nahabwe bring renewed energy to our squad. Moreover, Head Coach Denis Tushabe’s contract has been extended for two more years, reflecting our faith in his vision and leadership.

In the heart of management, Allan Abaho has stepped in as the Interim Public Relations Officer, while Elizabeth Akandinda has taken on the pivotal role of Deputy CEO overseeing our academy teams. These bold moves signal our unwavering ambition to create a club that is not just participating but dominating, as we aim to leave an indelible mark in the 2024/2025 FUFA Big League season.
