A Three Months Old Baby Goes Missing at a Trade show in Kanungu District.
The territorial Police in Kanungu are hunting for a suspect who allegedly stole a three-month-old baby boy from his mother one Sumayah Naziwa, wife to Khalid Akampurira an Imam at Kanyantorogo mosque Kanyantorogo sub county Kanungu district.
The incident happened on the 10/8/2024 at around 12 pm at Kihihi polytechnic play ground where there is a business trade show at Mezimera village, Kihihi Town counci Kanungu district.
It’s alleged that on the 10/8/2024 at around 12 pm, the mother of the victim while she was at Mezimera polytechnic play ground where there is a business trade show while selling chapati with her baby, a certan girl came nearer to her pretending to be a customer, asked her to give the baby so that the mother can be free to sell her chapati. The mother gave the baby to the girl and on noticing that the mother was too busy, she disappeared with the baby.
According to the Kiigezi regional Police Spokesperson Assistant Supretendant of Police Elly Maate said that, Efforts to search around the show ground proved futile due to the big magnitude of the people and thus reported to the police. Inquiries commenced with a view of tracing and recovering plus arresting the suspect.
