Police in Rukiga District have Three Suspects in Custody Over the Death of a 47 Years Old Woman.
The territorial Police in Rukiga have arrested three suspects alleged for murdering a 47 years old Peruth Tumuraze a resident of Kateramabale cell Kyogo parish Kamwezi sub county Rukiga district.
The three suspects are; Ivan Bangirana, Keneth Muzoora and Geofrey Kemerwa. All residents of the same above address.
It’s alleged that on the 03/08/2024 at around 4 pm Peruth Tumuraze ( now deceased) disappeared from her home and she had domestic issues with her husband Ivan Bangirana ( suspect ), then on 08/08/2024 at around 7 : 30 am, she was found dead in a banana plantation of Geoffrey Kemerwa which is about 800 metres from the home of the deceased.
According to the Kigezi regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate said that Police was alerted by Darius Asimwe, the scene was visited, processed and documented under RKG CRB 294/2024, postmortem was done at Kamwezi health center four and the three suspects arrested to help in investigations. An exhibit of a panga was recovered at the scene and the body had bruises at the head and around the neck, plus a deep dry wound at the back head. as Inquiries are ongoing.
