Patriotism Encouraged Among Students for National Development
Students have been encouraged to embrace patriotism if they want to grow in good health and have love for their country.
This call was made today by the Head teacher of Excel high school Kabale Apollo Barigye who doubles as the coordinator of patriotism club of Kabale district during the closure of a one week patriotism training of Excel high school Kabale at Kigezi lower playground, a training that was headed by the Uganda peoples Defense forces of Kihumuro Barracks.
According to Barigye students gain a lot of things such as love for the country, discipline, and good health once they continue with the zeal of loving it .he further added that some schools no longer take it serious to promote patriotism but it is one of the strong foundation of making students to be the good ambassadors especially when they are done with secondary level joining other higher institutions of learning.
The secretary of social services of Rubanda district Obed Mutatiina Kitabutuka who represented the minister of Finance in charge of General duties Henry Musasizi as a chief guest said that, students who take patriotism vital leads to the development of their families because the Parish Development Model is properly utilized by parents involving in agriculture, education and among others than using that money to pay fines for their children who may have done wrong things to the community.
In addition he also appreciated the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for promoting the culture of patriotism in 2009 to enable students and other people to have that love for their country.
